1. About this page
This Privacy Policy is maintained by the What2Wear team to explain how the app collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information. This page describes app-specific practices and controls. Hosting and infrastructure security are provided by the Lovable platform and its underlying cloud providers.
2. What we collect
We collect the information you provide and generate when using What2Wear:
- Account information: email address and authentication details through our sign-in providers.
- Wardrobe content: photos of clothing and accessories you upload, plus AI-generated tags such as category, color, fit, and season.
- Avatar images: optional photos you choose to upload to create a stylized avatar.
- Calendar connections: events you manually enter or sync from external calendars via public feed URLs.
- Usage data: feature interactions and error reports used to keep the app running and improve the experience.
3. How we use your data
We use your data only to operate and improve What2Wear:
- Generate personalized outfit recommendations.
- Organize your digital wardrobe and avatar.
- Sync calendar events to style recommendations.
- Fix bugs, monitor app health, and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your wardrobe photos or personal data to train shared AI models without your explicit consent.
4. Authentication
What2Wear uses secure, industry-standard authentication. You can sign in with email or supported social providers. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for the activity that occurs under your account.
5. Subprocessors and integrations
We rely on a small set of service providers to host, secure, and power the app:
- Lovable: application hosting, database, authentication, and storage infrastructure.
- AI services: used to tag wardrobe items, generate outfits, and create avatar imagery.
- Weather and geocoding services: used only when you opt in to location-based weather recommendations.
External calendar or social integrations (such as iCloud Calendar or Pinterest) are optional and configured by you. We only access the data you explicitly authorize.
6. Cookies and analytics
What2Wear uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We may use analytics to understand how features are used, but we do not track you across other websites.
7. Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual wardrobe items, outfits, calendar events, and your avatar at any time from within the app. If you delete your account, your personal data and uploaded content are removed from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to any legal obligations we may have.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
9. Security and incidents
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and row-level security in the database. If you discover a security issue or suspect unauthorized access to your account, please contact us immediately.
